You’ve heard about virtual reality (VR) and now you can experience it for free at Do Space by checking out one of our Google Cardboard headset tech kits. We have four versions: the basic Google Cardboard, the Powis Viewr, I Am Cardboard, and a standard headset. Look for a labeled box in the Teen Hangout or the Littles Lab and take it to the Tech Desk to check out. (You’ll need a signed Borrower’s Agreement.)

It’s easy to get started. Install Google Cardboard apps on your own phone (many are free and available for iPhone and Android) and you are ready to explore virtual worlds. Open the app of your choice and read the QR code on your headset, then place your device in the appropriate position in the viewer. A button on the right-hand side of the viewer interacts with the app.

Come in and try one out today! We’ve already taken them for a few test runs.
