The keynote for WWDC, Apple’s annual developer conference, was recently held in San Jose, California. During the keynote Apple featured major changes coming to their computer lines, iPad Pros, and operating systems.

Some of the highlights included:

Amazon Prime on the Apple TV–out sometime this year.

macOS High Sierra out this fall.Features include:

    • A faster Safari that’s suppose to run 80% faster than Chrome
    • A new Apple File System that is suppose to be a huge improvement of HFS, Apple’s current file system which is now 30 years old.
    • Support for external video cards via thunderbolt.
    • Support for Virtual Reality Apps
    • An improved graphics engine

iOS 11 out this fall.Features include:

    • Message syncs across all devices
    • Person to Person payments with Apple Pay built into Message.
    • Redesign of the Apple App Store. It will now be similar to Apple Music.
    • An actual file manager

Technology refreshes and new products including:

  • iMac Pro which comes standard 8-cores, configurable up to 18-core, 32GB of ram, configurable up to 128GB, a Radeon Pro Vega 56 GPU with 8GB of memory and support for USB-C (expected in December)
  • Refreshes to their iMac and Macbook Pro lines to include Intel’s Kaby Lake processor series (available now)
  • A 10.5 in iPad pro (available now)
  • The Apple HomePod, a smart speaker similar to the Amazon Echo and Google Home (available in December)
