Take your crafting to new heights with new technology at Do Space! Introducing the Mayku Formbox, a desktop-sized, easy to use vacuum form machine, available now for use in our 3D Lab.

Vacuform has many potential applications for hobbyists and entrepreneurs alike. The most common use is making custom molds for everything from plaster casting to chocolate making. It can also be used to create custom plastic shells for different kinds of crafts or custom packaging. Sculpt or 3D print a form, put it on the bed of the Formbox, heat a sheet of plastic, and push down on the handles to bring your creativity to life! 

Members will need to provide their own plastic sheets for use with the FormBox. Pre-cut sheets for this machine can be purchased directly from the company here or from Amazon here.

The Mayku FormBox works best with thermoplastic sheets of 0.25 – 1.5mm in thickness and the bed is    9 ¼” x 9 ¼”. Here are the technical terms:

Polyproperlene (Great for use as a mould for resin casting)
