What is Do Space?

Do Space is a technology library, a high-tech workshop, and an innovation playground for our community. It doesn’t matter how savvy you are or how much you know. At Do Space, what counts is your desire to learn, create, explore and invent. Our mission is to empower Do Space members through technology access and education.

Do Space is a technology educator – creating a new path for technology literacy and understanding its potential while providing opportunities for advanced learning.

Members may come to Do Space to enroll in a class to develop tech skills for the workforce, work on a creative project using design software, prototype a product in our 3D Lab, register a child in a robotics class, get assistance troubleshooting a new tablet, and much more.

Who can use Do Space?

Do Space is accessible to everyone who walks in our door, and memberships are free. We serve people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of technology expertise in the Omaha area and beyond.

How do I get a Do Space membership?

Anyone can apply for a membership at Do Space. Membership is FREE.

How much does it cost?

Most services at Do Space are offered free of charge to members. There is a nominal cost for printed materials.

What will my Do Space membership get me? What technology do you offer?

Members have access to a wide variety of popular and emerging tech tools as well as technology classes, workshops, and events hosted at Do Space. Do Space offers:

  • Desktop computers, tablets, and laptops
  • A 3D Lab outfitted with 3D printers, a 3D scanner, laser cutter, and more.
  • Internet connectivity, including WiFi
  • Printing services, including a large-format printer
  • Technology-related workshops, classes, and clubs for youth, seniors, and everyone in between
  • Community events and speakers that encourage discussion about how technology can improve the lives of Omahans

How is Do Space funded?

Do Space is run by Community Information Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed by Heritage Services and launched with private donations.
